Balloon Africa

Every year Air Ventures’ pilots and
crew offer special balloon excursions that are not available elsewhere.
Some excursions have been on the side of posh - Offering exotic overnights
in 5 Star hotels in Europe in order to participate in balloon rallies.
They have adventured to Africa many times and even keep an extra balloon
system ready for action! So if you are a ‘hands-on’ type of person that
can handle a little decision-making, these trips are for you. If not,
please do not select our company for your trip - you won’t be
happy!
Tanzania/Kenya
Arrive in Nairobi at night, sleep. All day drive to Tanzania. Stay in
lodge overnight. Half day drive to Lake Manyera, underground natural
spring. Next three days Ngorogoro up through the Serengeti and into the
Mara. This is a long drive. Camping up to four nights in the Serengeti and
the Mara. Flying in the Mara up to three times. From the Mara to Lake
Navaisha, two days in the lodge, one day camping and flying. Then to Lake
Nakuru one day hotel, to the Abedares, two days camping, then onto Samburu
and a Lodge stay for two nights. The Blue Post on the way back to Nairobi
and we are on the coast for the next three days.

Cost : $3,800.00 per person
(excluding airfare)
Land cruisers with trailer accommodating 6 people Maximum of 12 people
(2 land cruisers)
Mixture of camping and middle class, clean hotels - no five star safari
lodges included.
Three to four flights in Maisai Mara and Lake Navaisha areas. Due to
availability of propane and difficulty of transportation and permission,
more flights are not offered.
